Start with the piece, then the cavity
Specify the finished dimensions and target weight separately. A cavity’s volume and a recipe’s density affect deposited weight; drying and conditioning can also change the finished piece. Catalog gram figures are reference values. Ask how a proposed mold will be evaluated with your formulation before placing a production order.
Calculate the batch you need to handle
Record your target pieces per batch, the proposed cavities per mold, and how many molds will be in use at each stage. Distinguish mold quantity from cavity count in your quote request. Allow for the way your team fills, moves, conditions and releases each batch rather than choosing on cavity count alone.
Check your depositor and support surface
Compare the outside mold dimensions, cavity pitch, orientation, carrier clearance and release method with your equipment. Include the depositor make and model and any drawings you have. A model described as a candy mold is not automatically compatible with every depositor.
Confirm material and cleaning requirements
All-silicone sheets flex for manual release. Metal-reinforced silicone adds support for handling and can be specified for the EVO-DMLD with release tooling matched to the cavity layout. Thin silicone and rigid polycarbonate are separate constructions; a similar shape does not make them interchangeable. A stainless support sheet carried beneath a flexible mold is also different from reinforcement built into the mold. Confirm the selected material, process temperatures, cleaning method and product-contact documentation with your quote.

Compare the same material, outside dimensions, cavity volume, layout and order quantity. Standard all-silicone sheets are $150 USD; standard metal-reinforced silicone molds are $180 total, not a $180 surcharge. Standard pricing covers the listed 300 × 300 mm EVOCAN sheets and catalog silicone reference sheets up to 310 × 420 mm, in either orientation, excluding custom novelty tooling. Thin silicone and rigid polycarbonate have separate prices. Larger or unspecified reference formats, custom artwork and new tooling are quoted separately. Shipping and applicable taxes are separate; your quote confirms tooling and machine fit. Ask us to identify any tooling charge, repeat-sheet price and shipping separately.
